EASTBOUNRE BOWLING CLUB (THE SAFFRONS)

Eastbourne Bowling Club is a flourishing private outdoor flat green bowls club with a long and proud tradition having been founded in 1897.

The club is situated adjacent to the main Saffrons sports complex in the town centre and is only a few minutes walk away from the main shopping area, the theatres, railway station and seafront.

The large and well appointed pavilion can accommodate over one hundred players and visitors, e.g. when there is a twelve rink match with a visiting club. In addition, the club has its own private car park with space for a coach and up to forty cars.

The club is open throughout the year and organises a comprehensive programme of social events in the winter non-playing season.

There is an active bridge section and a snooker championship is also arranged.
