St. JOHN'S (MEADS) BOWLING CLUB

St John’s (Meads) Bowling Club is situated in the delightful Helen Gardens on the Western edge of the Eastbourne Seafront.

The green has six rinks, is full regulation size, laid with Cumberland turf and is positioned above the chalk cliffs just a short distance away from the spectacular white cliffs at Falling Sands and the world famous beauty spot Beachy Head.

Whether you are able to fully concentrate on your bowling is debatable, as the glorious views from the green, out over the English Channel are probably the best views from any bowling green in the UK!

The club is a short distance from the town centre, where there are plenty of opportunities for quality shopping.

The town of Eastbourne regularly enjoys more sunshine hours than anywhere else in the UK, thanks to the shelter given by the beautiful South Downs. After bowling, Eastbourne is the perfect place to relax, or if you are inclined, to kick up your heels and dance the night away.
